We are an active couple and enjoy being outdoors especially when the weather is warm. We both have full time jobs, but make the most of our time off having fun. Jamie is a skilled carpenter and with his time off from teaching, has completely remodeled our home. He can build almost anything and enjoys doing home improvement projects for family and friends. He has already begun looking at our trees to see which one might be suited for a tree house? Sandy enjoys dancing! Put on music and the show begins. It doesn’t matter the song, she will find a suitable dance. She also enjoys cooking. She is always trying new recipes and usually dancing while doing so. Together we enjoy taking our dog Lily for walks, going on hikes, and riding our bikes. In the spring, we love to dig in the dirt! Jamie starts planting his vegetable garden and we have fresh vegetables all summer long. Sandy clears the flower, fruit, and herb beds to get them ready for new blooms and plantings. In the summer, we love going to the beach. Jamie’s parents own a house near the ocean and the beach is a short walk away. It’s our go to place to relax. It’s a great place to read a book, spend time with family, and have cookouts. We also enjoy traveling. We have visited many great places over the years both domestically and internationally. Our most exciting trips were to Australia and Europe.

Sandy About Jamie: When I first met Jamie in college I knew he was the one. We’ve been together ever since and he is still the same genuine, loving, and selfless human being I remember. He has a strong work ethic and everyone he works with values him. He is good at giving guidance in a caring way especially with his students at the school. He is patient, understanding and always puts the needs of others before his own. Jamie also has a silly side and a knack for making friends easily. I know Jamie will be an exceptional dad because of all of his natural qualities and I cannot wait to start this wonderful new adventure with him.

Jamie About Sandy: When I first met Sandy I said to a friend, "I'm going to marry her!" It was safe to say that I never looked back. She is an amazing person with so much love to give. Having been the oldest child of three, she took on much responsibility from an early age and it has shaped her into the woman she is today. Caring, trustworthy, hardworking, and honest are just a few of the attributes that describe her. She loves animals, both big and small. Her ambition to never quit at anything is admirable. This is why she will make an amazing mother. She knows that parenthood will bring its share of challenges, but no one I know will work as hard as she will at providing this child with a loving life.

Family is important to us and we try to get together for birthdays and all of the major holidays. One of our favorites is our Thanksgiving Day lunch where both sides of the family are able to get together. We enjoy food, memories, laughs, and of course take a break to open our Thanksgiving Day crackers and pose for a photo! It's also our official family kickoff to the holiday season. Ornaments are passed out and we decide the next gathering place as we get ready for the Christmas holiday. We love to have fun and enjoy each other's company. We also plan our Secret Santas, one swap with each family and we look forward to it every year.

Birthdays are something we like to celebrate with both kids and adults, especially milestone birthdays! We usually have a theme to make it a little more fun. The annual family reunion is a great way to see Jamie's aunts, uncles, and cousins that live out of the state. The families take turns hosting the event and everyone brings a food dish and spends the day together playing games, sharing memories and catching up. Our family gatherings have grown over the years, and we look forward to making room for our own little addition.

We live in a family-friendly, quiet suburban neighborhood and have several amazing neighbors that we have known for many years and consider close friends. We have lived in our home for 16 years and have made updates to every room. It's a cozy three-bedroom, two-bathroom home with a fenced-in back yard. Our favorite space is the kitchen, where we love to cook and spend time with our family and friends. Our yard has many wildflowers and wildlife. It has a section for growing vegetables and small fruits, the rest of the outside space is open and ready for play. We take pride in our home and enjoy spending time outside working in the yard and gardening.

Our neighborhood has several families with small children who live nearby. They love to visit for Halloween where we greet them at the door in costume! There are two parks within walking distance, a bike path and nature trails. One of the parks is a state park that has family activities year round including paddle boats, outdoor concerts, a carousel, farmer's market and several activities for children. We have an excellent school district, one of the top in the state. Our local library offers activities for children and there are annual town fairs with rides and farm animals. We are looking forward to raising a child in this great neighborhood with plenty of activities to take part in.

We are very close to our families and are usually visiting or talking to them over the phone several times a week. Jamie has three siblings and Sandy has two. Both of us have several aunts, uncles and cousins which makes it a fun full house when we get everyone together. Most of our family lives close by and a few live out of the state but we always try to find a way to get together. We look forward to seeing everyone at birthdays, cookouts, and annual family reunions. Sandy's mom loves to cook and we usually joke that she brings enough food to feed our entire neighborhood. Sandy's dad is very sociable and is always ready to start an interesting conversation.

We often spend time with Jamie's family at their cottage near the beach during the summer. We enjoy fishing, swimming, and walking the beach. Jamie's dad likes to grill fresh seafood and Jamie's mom enjoys the beautiful sunsets. It's a great place to relax that's close to home but far enough away to feel like a mini vacation when you visit.

A child will have the support, love and attention of our entire family. Everyone is supportive of our adoption plan including our parents who are thrilled and looking forward to meeting their new grandchild. All of our siblings have young children and we are excited to begin our own journey of starting a family and creating wonderful memories together.

A little about us ?" We were in the same biology class in college when one of Jamie's cousins introduced us. We dated for several years and were later married. We have been happily married for 18 years and have a very fun, loving, and respectful relationship. We are very good at communicating and working together as a couple. Our love for each other has only grown stronger with time.

Jamie is a school teacher with a great work schedule that will allow for the caring of a child especially with numerous vacation days and of course, summers off! Sandy works for a toy company that makes plush animals. It's a fun job and by nature, her company understands the importance of children and family, and provide their employees with flexible work schedules.

We knew early in our relationship that we wanted to have a family but we soon found that it was not possible due to unexplained infertility. Although our road to parenthood has been challenging, we cannot imagine our lives without a child and feel it is a privilege to be chosen as adoptive parents. Words cannot express how overjoyed we are to welcome our first child through the miracle of adoption.

We will provide your child with love, guidance and the opportunity to explore what makes them unique and become who they want to be. We will raise your child to be independent, confident, humble, and caring towards others. We will constantly remind them to never stop chasing their dreams and to always be themselves, no matter what. We will teach your child to be curious about learning new things, be respectful to themselves and others, and to remember to always be kind.

We are looking forward to creating so many lasting memories with this child. When we go to the beach, we can't wait to build sandcastles and collect seashells. When we decorate the Christmas tree, we can't wait to share the spirit and joy with a little one as they help with their favorite ornaments. When we visit family, we can't wait for them to play with their cousins and get swarmed with hugs and kisses from their aunts and uncles.

This child will always know where they came from and how our family came together, this is not something we would ever hide from them. Your child will know that you loved him/her dearly and that you made this choice with their well-being in mind. If you wish, we would be open to staying in touch via continued email, pictures, letters, phone calls, and the ability to see each other in person again someday. We are excited for you to see your baby thrive in this new life we envision filled with love.
